Join Our Annual Campaign

What a difference a year can make.

Just one year ago this month, our Cultural Center family was in a collective state of anxiety, as we waited for bids for the ambitious and game-changing Lincoln City Cultural Plaza project. Would we find the right contractor? Would the schedule work? And most importantly: could our available funds really cover the project until the end?

The answer to all those questions? Yes! The Cultural Plaza project broke ground in February, muddled its way through the spring and found its stride through the summer. As I write, crews from Cascade Civil Corp. are pouring the last concrete and laying down the last loads of gravel. Next week: paving and striping, followed by landscape plants, light poles and other final details.

The Plaza would have been impossible without YOUR contributions.

YOU made this incredible project happen, through your steadfast support.

The two words that make up “thank you” are feeling completely inadequate. But we’ll say them anyway. On behalf of the hundreds of thousands of people who will walk down the Poetry Path, play the Rotary instruments, listen to live music at the South Plaza or read a book in the Kiwanis Outdoor Art Classroom, now and for decades to come — THANK YOU.

After five years of anticipation, the Plaza improvements are ready for activation. On Nov. 18 we’ll be filling our new spaces with music, dance, food, art — and yes, a few speeches — at our free community dedication event. Drop by any time between 11 and 3 pm to be a part of the action.

There’s another way to ensure that the Cultural Center and the Plaza are filled with activity in the year to come: continue your support with a gift to our Annual Campaign. The money that we raise in the next 8 weeks, now through Dec. 31, will fund our operations in the year to come.

Thanks to early giving by the members of our Cultivators Club, we’re already 30% of the way to our goal of $60,000. Will you join these early donors in supporting arts, culture and community, by making your Annual Campaign donation today?

5 Reasons to Become a Monthly Donor

1. Convenience

Once set up, donations are withdrawn automatically each month. Your membership is always current and you can cancel at any time.

2. Stability

A robust monthly giving program provides the Lincoln City Cultural Center with a stable source of operations funding, allowing our nonprofit to weather economic uncertainty and seasonal fluctuations.

3. Impact

Most donors discover that when they join a monthly giving program, spreading their household’s philanthropy throughout the year, they increase their annual giving AND make a greater impact in their community.

4. Efficiency

Monthly sustainers do more than donate funds, they SAVE the organization the expense of printing, postage and advertising. Those dollars can be used for more important things, like concerts and art supplies.

5. Community

Our nonprofit is committed to serving our community as a powerhouse of art and learning, in 2024 and beyond. As a sustaining monthly donor, you’re making the very same pledge.

Double The Love

Don’t forget that a matching donation to the Oregon Cultural Trust is free, through our state’s unique tax credit for art, culture, heritage and humanities.
