Duo Violao Plus One

Duo Violão + One is a choro and samba trio with acclaimed guitar master Rogerio Souza on 7-string guitar (Paulinho da Viola, Ney Matagrosso, Baden Powell), Edinho Gerber (Som Brasil, Renato Anesi Trio, Ben Lamar-Gay, etc,) and  percussionist Ami Molinelli (Grupo Falso Baiano, Jovino Santos-Neto, Kenny Washington, etc.) who are returning for a live tour in September-October of 2022.  Our 2020 tour celebrating the release of our album “A Historia do Choro.”.   In 2021 we released a project titled, “Raizes de Choro e Samba.” which was a collaboration between musicians in the Bay Area and Rio de Janeiro in 2021 and were also selected and featured at the Chamber Music America in 2022.
