Community Christmas Tree generously donated by Weyerhaeuser and installed with help from Pacific Power.

This year’s community tree at the Lincoln City Cultural Center is a 20ft tall Noble Fir which was generously donated, transported and installed by Weyerhaeuser.

“It’s heartwarming to see one of our trees help make Lincoln City a bit brighter this holiday season,” Don Irons, forester at Weyerhaeuser, said. “We hope the community has the chance to come out and enjoy the extra holiday cheer from their local foresters."

It was cut on the morning of Nov. 15 just 40 miles east of Lincoln City near Riley Peak. The top lights were installed by crews from Pacific Power, also by donation, then decorated by the Cultural Center’s Visual Arts Director, Krista Eddy, along with staff, volunteers and members of the community.

After a wonderful day filled with crafts, cookies, and caroling, the evening of November 29th was brought to life with the help of the community and a joyful countdown followed by cheers. This year’s official countdown leader was City Councilor Mitch Parsons. Cookies for the event were provided by Kenny’s IGA and the Morgan Family, with hot chocolate, decorations and candy canes provided by the Cultural Center.

The tree will be on display at the Cultural Center, 540 NE Hwy 101, through early January. For more information or to support this annual event with a gift to the Center’s annual campaign, call 541-994-9994.
