Sunday Ceramics with Heather

Have you ever wanted to create your own handmade mug, bowl, or plate? Join us at the Ceramics Studio in the basement for a beginner-friendly, guided ceramics project! This is a one-day class in which we will create pieces that will be returned to you within 2-3 weeks.
Note: this is not a pottery wheel class.

When: Most Sundays

Time: 1:00-5:00 PM(class lengths vary depending on project but are typically 2-4 hours)

Cost: $30

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel with a full refund up to the Wednesday before class.

Sculpture Techniques in Clay

Instructor: Andrea Paris

 Mon, Wed, & Fri. May 5th - May 30th, 1-3 pm. 4 wks-12 sessions

 Class Fee: $175 Materials Fee $50(materials fee waived for LCCC Ceramics   Studio Members)

 On the first day of class, students will purchase materials: clay, glaze,   and firing fees at a cost of $50.

 OPEN STUDIO TIME at LCCC during Regular Business Hours & Tuesday   Nights from 5-9 pm.

 SCULPTURE TECHNIQUES IN CLAY- An introduction to fundamental   ceramic skills in sculpting clay that will foster individual artistic growth   and inspiration. Topics include: 4 methods of construction: Relief,   Sculpture in the Round, Creative Additive Forms, and Modeling. Different   surface techniques: i.e. staining, glazing, etc., will also be explored.

 Pre-class work: Please bring a drawn/printed 6x6 inch image for the 1st   project.

 Examples: Sea creatures, portrait of favorite pet, landscape, seascape,   portrait, etc.
