LINCOLN CITY – For the past two summers, local musician Perry Gerber has spent his weekends on the road, playing with his hardy bandmates Richard Paris, Greg Stilwell and Norman Austin, at fairs and festivals across the Northwest. This year, all those gigs are cancelled by COVID. But if you could use a fun festival fix, a session with The Perry Gerber Band and its sunny, vintage rock sound, don’t stress – grab a ticket to the next QuaranTunes concert at the Lincoln City Cultural Center.

The Perry Gerber Band’s concert will begin at 7 pm on Thursday, Aug. 6. (Note: Due to COVID19, Dmitri Matheny was unable to make the concert originally scheduled on this date). Tickets are on sale now at www.lincolncity-culturalcenter.org or 541-994-9994.

Over the last 40 years, Perry’s passion for playing music provided him the opportunity to tour with Sara Evans and The North Santiam Band, opening for acts like Willie Nelson and Tim McGraw. For the past two summers, he’s been traveling the Northwest at fairs and festivals with Richard, Greg and Norman, performing a tight mix of vintage rock ‘n roll and danceable tunes from the 50s and 60s.

Side Door Cafe is offering a special menu for this show. It will be delivered to the LCCC or ready for pickup at the restaurant for VIP Streaming customers. Orders are due Aug. 4; head to the restaurant’s website or call 541-764-3825.
With the safety of patrons, staff and musicians in mind, the LCCC is offering two types of tickets:

Your ticket purchase supports these fantastic musicians, as well as the Cultural Center and an adventurous group of local audio and video professionals dedicated to live broadcasts of the highest quality (the LCCC Stream Team).

“The virtual concert experience will be produced by a group of professional sound technicians and videographers, led by director Gray Eubank. They’ll be capturing great sound and working with multiple camera angles, to produce an up-close concert experience for our at-home patrons,” said executive director Niki Price. “I’m calling them The Stream Team, and I’m completely excited to see them at work.”

More concerts are planned for August and September including a request-filled concert with Halie Loren on Aug. 19, the award-winning duo of Ezra Weiss and Devin Phillips (Aug. 26) and Portland jazz pianist Darrell Grant (Sept. 2).
